Sahba Academy Terms & Conditions
1. Introductio
These Terms & Conditions govern the provision of lessons, classes, workshops, events and related educational services by Sahba Academy ("the Academy", "we", "our", "us").
By booking, registering for, attending, or participating in any class, lesson, workshop or event provided by Sahba Academy, students and/or their parents or guardians agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
2. Registration
All students must provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration.
Parents or legal guardians must complete registration on behalf of students under the age of 18.
The Academy reserves the right to request additional information where reasonably necessary.
3. Fees and Payments
All fees must be paid in accordance with the payment schedule specified by the Academy.
Failure to make payment may result in suspension of lessons, refusal of future bookings, or termination of enrolment.
The Academy reserves the right to amend fees at any time. Reasonable notice will be provided before any fee changes take effect.
Outstanding balances remain payable regardless of attendance.
4. Attendance
Students are expected to arrive on time and prepared for their lessons.
Late arrival may reduce lesson time. Lessons will end at the scheduled time regardless of arrival time.
Missed lesson time due to late arrival cannot be extended or carried forward.
5. Cancellations by Students
Students or parents/guardians must provide at least 24 hours' notice for any absence.
Each family is permitted one lesson cancellation per academic term without charge.
Additional cancellations may be charged at the Academy's discretion.
Lessons missed without sufficient notice may be treated as attended and remain chargeable.
The Academy is under no obligation to provide replacement lessons for missed sessions.
6. Cancellations by the Academy
The Academy reserves the right to cancel, postpone, reschedule or substitute lessons, tutors, venues or class arrangements when reasonably necessary.
Where practical, reasonable notice will be provided.
Where the Academy cancels a lesson and no suitable alternative can be offered, a credit, make-up lesson or refund may be provided at the Academy's discretion.
7. Student Conduct
Students are expected to behave respectfully towards teachers, staff, volunteers, visitors and other students.
Bullying, harassment, discrimination, abusive language, threatening behaviour, disruptive conduct, intentional damage to property or behaviour that compromises the safety or wellbeing of others will not be tolerated.
The Academy reserves the right to suspend or terminate participation without refund where behaviour is deemed unacceptable.
8. Health, Medical Conditions and Emergencies
Students and parents/guardians must disclose any relevant medical conditions, allergies or support needs that may affect participation.
In the event of illness, injury or emergency, the Academy may take reasonable action to protect the student's wellbeing, including contacting emergency contacts or emergency services where appropriate.
The Academy cannot guarantee the administration of medication unless specific arrangements have been agreed in writing.
9. Photography, Video and Media
From time to time, photographs, audio recordings and video recordings may be taken during lessons, workshops, performances and events.
No student's image will be used for promotional purposes where consent has not been provided.
Students and parents/guardians may withdraw media consent at any time by contacting the Academy in writing.
10. Safeguarding
The Academy is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful and supportive learning environment.
All safeguarding concerns should be reported immediately to the Academy.
Students under 18 remain the responsibility of their parents or guardians outside scheduled lesson times.
11. Personal Property
Students are responsible for their own personal belongings, instruments, equipment and valuables.
The Academy accepts no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal property except where required by law.
12. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation would be unlawful under the laws of England and Wales.
Subject to the above, the Academy shall not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from participation in its activities.
Participation in classes, workshops and events is undertaken at the student's own risk.
13. Data Protection and Privacy
Personal information will be processed in accordance with the Academy's Privacy Policy.
By registering with the Academy, students and parents/guardians consent to the collection and processing of information necessary for the administration of services.
14. Changes to Services
The Academy reserves the right to modify lesson content, schedules, teachers, venues, timetables, delivery methods and related services where reasonably necessary.
15. Termination
The Academy reserves the right to refuse, suspend or terminate enrolment where:
Fees remain unpaid;
False information has been provided;
Behaviour is unacceptable;
Continued participation is not considered in the best interests of the Academy, staff or other students.
16. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
